Thank you for being here. I thoroughly enjoy reading your unique take on the political issues of the day! This one pretty much sets the record straight. Yep, boring and weird.

Martin Edic is a bore on the endless, droning, BORING subject of Trump's awfulness. After he's gone the way of the dodo, who are you going to bang on about next??!

Trump IS a bore, and everything about him IS boring. Unfortunately, what he represents and the devious and vicious individuals and groups behind him, who are using Trump to gain power through him, are far from "boring." They are frightening and dangerous to democracy in the USA--and by extention to struggling democracies and democratic movements throughout the world. I urge Martin Edic (and all those like him) to bang his drum even more loudly, so that he can penetrate a few more DEAF EARS. After Trump is in jail, his "string pullers" will be continue to be alive and well, and busy plotting their next move. There will be much to warn, bang drums, about.

I totally agree with you. The Heritage foundation, project 2025, rabid “Christian” Nationalists, greedy corporations, etc. have been around for decades planning project 2025 (2029 or 2033) They are not going anywhere, but at least we’re more aware of them now

Trump Derangement Syndrome is even more boring, and laughably ridiculous to boot. And we're not a DEMOCRACY (tm); we're a democratic republic which was carefully engineered by learned men of the late Eighteenth Century so that demagogues like Trump and far-out socialists like Harris and Walz can't just sashay into power and dictate to the rest of us on the tears and jeers of their boring acolytes and political flunkies on both sides of the spectrum. Whiny self-righteousness from the likes of Robert Reich and Martin Edic is an occupational hazard of existence in the political world, just as much as bloviation and bombast from the likes of Trump and his ilk.

Oh well...the above speaks for itself.

Trump is terrified of Harris. It is likely that he will find a way to back out of the debate on 9/10. He may develop bone spurs in his mouth or something equally ridiculous to give him an excuse and to save face.

Of course you are quite right about Trump but unfortunately, when I look around at all the decent, normal people I know around me who are Trump supporters, I have not seen even one of them decide to vote differently. It's baffling and demoralizing but I am very afraid that it's the reality. We "liberals" live in an optimistic bubble and of course agree with all comments like yours about Trump. The problem is that the other side neither reads these kind of essays, nor would it change their minds if they did. It is a very sad truth that half this country is willing and happy to have a fool and a tyrant lead the most powerful country on earth.
