If what I said was "rude", just because it was emphatic and you didn't like what it was emphatic about, you're just going to have to take it or leave it, Friend.

Mr Page, if you are angry with the world please don’t keep sharing it here. Despite my writing about politics, I value meaningful conversations with those I may not agree with. But this undirected anger and desire to always get back at someone is the problem, not the solution. ME

Fair enough. I'm a grumpy old man, subject to the social infirmities of my age. If I engage you further, I promise I'll do it in as civil a tone as I can manage. But I may get emphatic. I'll approach the line, but try not to step over it. Cheers.

Dear Martin, ~I have always liked your writing. I am not part of the money system. I had a middle-class family, I ran out of their money, I do not make money on my own. I have no income. I live on a sum of 50,000 from a property sale ---I do not know if that is the same a "inheritance," but I still have no income. Where is the money to "subscribe" to you and perhaps seven or eight deserving writers going to come from? Can you give me your six dollars a month or whatever it is? Then I give i BACK! Now am I a subscriber? Please respond with an investigation of just what "economics" is. I call economic thought ECONO and I have ECONO Postings as a "section" located at the top of my page.

Even viewed through the eyes of a "writer" as left-wing unbalanced as you are, Mr. Edic, the 2024 presidential "campaign" is already a painful thing to watch. Your "experienced, competent" candidate is a fumbling, bumbling national embarrassment who will only deteriorate in the coming years; his opponent is a bloviating, megalomaniacal narcissist who would only be another deteriorating national disgrace if he got elected. I can only pray for some miraculous intervention to save us all from the worst of all possible worlds, whoever is left standing at the end of it all.

It might be important in this case to look to the teams that each of these two has in support.. Which of these teams would you like to pick up the pieces, for carry on we must

Good point -- worthy of a closer look.

to somebody like Page, who is "balanced," the whole world is un-balanced!

Secondly, have you been following the page? Edic seems to definitely qualify as "writer," and arguably more so than, for example, myself, but yes, I sometimes have called myself a "writer." Hopefully, I managed to fool a few people. Please go to my page and criticize me as not being a true, genuine writer. At least I have some idea what the word means, as I slowly in old age explore true "writers," like James Agee ("Let Us Now Praise Famous Men," and the screenplay for "African Queen") and I slowly learn what it means to be one. Edic certainly has more qualifications than most in this regard.

He is certainly an ARTICULATE left-wing whacko.

Okay, so why did you write it as <"writer">, not <writer>? (b.t.w., did Edic say Biden was competent? I do not think he is all that competent, and Biden has always been weak on foreign policy matters. I remember Biden standing next to Obama when they were fired the Colonel who was in a command position in Afghanistan ---i.e. after the RS article. Biden has no idea of military policy, but likes to think that he does.)

p.s. I see by floating on your name above that you attribute "Gripes" to your Substack, so I guess that, together with "Curmudgeon," makes what you did more understandable.
