Thank you, Martin. People appreciate the truth. In my mind, what's going on is the country is slowly becoming a majority/minority one and the old angry white man doesn't like giving up his purported power to those he deems to be "lesser."
Well, the problem is that there is no real group called "the Democrats." Do you mean the political operatives like Podesta and Obama or who, then? I tend to think the categories of "GOP" and "Dems" are getting diffused out of existence altogether. Right now, we have a sort of libertarian mode of governance but that won't work any better in the end. We need to get over this stuff of thinking the Democrats are like some kind of natural group. To me, these are old groups with no currency anymore. There needs to be new social programs, but the conservatives always were correct in pointing out that "social programs" are very difficult to enact with any comprehensive utility or dependability. It usually gets taken over by charlatans, like the FDA or CDC did. So it is a question of what kinds of social programs or policies will help and on my (jacob's) Newsletter I discuss economics (or ECONO) ideas I have developed over the past twenty years!!
And, finally as for why people cannot seem to muster a response. There is no response the whole elite of the society is in failure and everyone has the wrong information (e.g. about vaccines or health in general. They do not even understand the danger of eating white bread all the time). I agree, however, that "liberals" are having a real problem. Where is there any leadership from the "social" direction? Edic is correct about this problem with the liberal tradition. I always thought those guys had some good qualities, but that seems less true now. Although I always preferred the radical element of the traditional "Left." But, in any case, it is really is a shame that NONE of these guys, really, seem to have a clue. Who has a horse in this race? I don't know what we do. I am searching like others are searching.
The Democrats haven't just been voted out of power. They've been dismantled. The truth is:
*** THERE IS NO OPPOSITION PARTY ***
They are a rudderless bunch of white flag-wavers. Complicit in the GOP destruction of democracy. If the GOP is a party that doesn't know how to govern, then the Democrats are a party that doesn't know how to oppose. Opposition isn't rocket-science, but they just don't seem to get it! You just say "NO". To EVERYTHING.
NO to the confirmation of Trump's insane nominees for office.
NO to the GOP's destructive policies.
NO to the censuring of one of your own. This one is about as stupid as stupid gets!
I dunno. Maybe, having been in power for a few years, they forgot how to do: not being in power. Maybe, they just don't want to hurt GOP's feelings. Who knows? But so far, they are failing big time.
AOC -- as much as some people dislike her, I respect so much of what she has to say. She speaks the truth in an honest, firm and forceful way.
Totally agree. And she may get there eventually as Prez.

Too bad, so sad.
