Profound and ongoing gratitude for all your posts and being authentic and saying things out loud even when the truth is uncomfortable or downright horrifying surrounding the events we are in the midst of with Trumps reelection. Just a heartfelt thank you for your thoughtful and well thought out posts in the middle of our complicated crazy surreal times. It’s so nice to read a sane voice that educates without all the extra drama and hype. Things are dramatic all on their own. 🤓

That bit about trying to privatize the USPS has been going on for a while; it's not a new idea of Drumpf's. However...

If I understand correctly, the 'Trump Hotel' there in DC used to be the main Post Office there. In every town, every city, every Main Street, there is a Post Office. Many are in the most valuable real estate areas in town; some are incredible, beautiful buildings.

It may be that 'privatizing' the USPS would not include ownership of these prime bits of architecture and land, I don't know.

If I had the time, I would be researching this, but (like most of us these days) I am scrambling to keep food, shelter and clothing needs covered.

I hope someone in this conversation has the time and interest to see if this is yet another scam going on. If any of you take this on, please keep us posted.

Thank you Martin, as an ageing Limey over the big pond I am bewildered as to how the fat Frump managed to get elected. I was quite amazed and appreciative of Kamala Harris and expected her to win big. It will be time to pull out the popcorn for the legal drama about to unfold as his 34 felony counts are up for sentence to be delivered, might just put a glitch in his inauguration. You just can not make this up. Why have these rich brats (including his Muskiness) so little in intelligence, empathy, devoid of anything making up a human being other than excess narcissism . Yes, the Aliens are here already.

Adrian.

I appreciate reading your posts.

Located far away from US (= in Norway) I will not be directly affected by mr. Trump and his regime. But whatever happens i US will have impact across the globe.

We could discuss day and nights how people can trust a liar, a fraud, a convicted felon, a person who cannot formulate a sentence with more than fiver words, to be elected president. However, there is one thing that puzzles me: How could the American people (who voted for Trump) really believe that Elon Musk spent more than 250 million dollar to support Trump because he felt sorry for the common american? If so; how come he has more than 300 billion dollar (400 by today) and the people that builds the Teslas has none? If he care so much for the american worker why are the workers at Tesla not allowed to organise? (In Sweden the workers at Tesla are still on strike - for more than a year - fighting for their right to organise).

I do feel sorry for the americans, and the Trump supporters are in for an unpleasant surprise (though not his billionaire friends - they will get even richer).

Problem is we are only talking about TRUMP, not the incoming Republican administration, his enablers, what they say and do. Don’t fall for it. Hold them accountable for doing his bidding, likely in illegal ways.

Yup. They pushed the elevator up to the penthouse suite and Trump said so long. They didn't get invited to the party.
