Thanks so much for saying this. I've been feeling the same, ever since the initial shock and numbness of the election results wore off. In 2016, and so often over those four years, I let fear and anger consume me, but it does no one any good to feel that way, and as you said, blame doesn't work either. I agree, this time, it should be about reaching out to one another. I think we're all going to need the support. I appreciate your posts!
Thank you for this. You're absolutely right ... blame will not help anything. One tiny candle of hope I see is ... when the good people who voted red see the plans of Project 2025 starting to roll out, they will help stop it. We here in the US have lived in a fragile bubble of prosperity and peace since WWII. I hope we can protect it.
I think that this is the most useful post-election piece that I have read so far. The correct framing of this is really the oligarchs vs. the people, the people just don't know it yet. Biding our time is the correct approach to this. Let them show their hand and then start to push back. Because the one thing that we can count on is that they will over reach, and people will be shocked at what they see.
Thank you so much for a superb article. I have felt the same way ever since he won the nomination again. My worry is the theocrats...true believers have always frightened me. I, too, think people are going to be shocked by the coming changes. I have heard that AOC has reached out to her supporters to find out if any of them voted for both her and Trump, and if so, why. A first step in understanding what at least some people are thinking.
The constant blaming bugs the crap out of me. Should Kamala have run her campaign like the circus trump ran so we could compare ineptitude? Everyone seems to have wanted some kind of total perfection from her & the dems. It was complaints the entire time. MSM was to blame for the majority of the issues. Blame them if fingers need to be pointed. She ran a great campaign.

I am guilty of moving too fast. Now at 75 it's watch and wait. And read.
