I'm automatically suspicious of coaches. I am sure I could make money as a writing coach because I have plenty of legit experience in just about every kind of writing there is -- I was a newspaper editor, I've worked in advertising, I was part of an online magazine startup, I do pretty well on Medium, I've published several books -- but I would rather earn a smaller amount writing MY stuff than make more money coaching other writers.
Same for me. I’ve met too many business coaches who had very limited experience running businesses. I’m trying to stick to doing my own thing though Medium is making it really hard these days. Even with a decent following my earnings are a fraction of what they used to be. Hopefully my newsletter will pick up some of the slack! M
Toni S as much as told me they don’t consider my work worth it during the last change. And now their improved stats are almost completely useless and seem designed to confuse rather than clarify.

Yes. Without a Boost, you make nothing -- even with very good engagement! I am hanging on a bit and hoping they make another algo change soon.

There may be a different CEO and a different philosophy and algorithm eventually.
