An Asteroid Hit Doesn’t Sound Bad At The Moment
It may be the only thing that dislodges these goons’ hold on the country
The estimated odds of a huge asteroid hitting earth in 2028 just rose from 1.5% to 3%, which ordinarily would be pretty scary. The size of the Statue of Liberty, this rock could destroy a large city. Right now a bunch of us may be thinking southern Florida might be a lucky target.
Just kidding of course, though those NASA estimates are real and of course they come just as we hear hundreds of jobs have been cut at the agency this week. Big surprise that the king of cuts runs the biggest private space company with huge multi-billion contracts with NASA, a government partner and competitor and BTW, regulator of all space flight in the US.
It also doesn’t hurt that another space company is owned by another billionaire who appeared on the stage with Trump at his inauguration, Jeff Bezos. Is this the beginning of an extraterrestrial cartel?
A lot of people wish Elon Musk would pack himself and some others like Stephen Miller into a spaceship and take off for Mars, where they would hopefully die an agonizing death so we don’t have to see their arrogant mugs every time we turn on the news.
Miller lost it in a CNN interview, screaming about how we should celebrate all the heartless job cuts, but really revealing what a pinhead he is. It was very Hitlerian, resembling the temper tantrums the Nazi leader was known for. How this racist moron got anywhere near the White House, twice, is a shameful question we should be asking ourselves.
A Party of beggars
Republican congresspeople are besieging various Trump Cabinet members, begging for canceled funding that affects their constituents, funding that is authorized by…Congress. Apparently, people at home who voted for and funded their campaigns are not too happy about what the Trump/Musk White House is doing and want their Representatives to actually represent them.
What a concept. We vote somebody into office and then we expect them to do stuff. It’s brilliant, this thing called a democracy, but it depends on politicians doing their jobs and begging for money you control, according to the Constitution, is not a part of your jobs. It’s not just shameful, it’s pitiful and it’s what’s going on in DC right now in the Republican Party.
The Party has always positioned itself as the macho party, the ‘he man women hater’s club’ of politics. Even their women try to act like the goons, but the reality this week is very different. Instead of standing up to a President tearing apart the democracy that got them their jobs, they are begging for favors.
Brother, can you spare a dime?
We are told they shiver at the thought that Trump may primary them with a chosen loyalist lackey if they don’t acquiesce to his every wish. They might need to be reminded of a few things, including that he has no loyalty and even a perceived but unintended act can be punished. And that if they don’t deliver for their own voters, they will get booted anyway.
That’s reality, not this slash and burning of the American way by a couple of billionaires who don’t care about anyone, including these deluded politicians who are blinded by something or other, I don’t have any idea what.
We are told that his supporters like that he is ‘taking action’. If randomly firing hordes of people with no thought to the consequences is action, then I guess those who voted for action are getting it. But firing airline safety personnel right after the worst air crash in sixteen years and locking out nuclear personnel without bothering to find out what they actually do is reckless.
But reckless is what this administration is all about. It’s been a hell of a month and there is no end in sight. Those Republican beggars in the House of Representatives are about to find out how powerless they are. Their principal impending required action is passing a budget, but they have no chance of doing so without Democratic votes, and they are not coming.
If they think their voters are upset now, wait till the government is shut down, because that looks more inevitable every passing day. If this sounds like a lot of doom and gloom, that’s because there are no other words for it. But I have some faith left that the American people will stand up to these punks eventually. We always have.

We are in the middle of a coup disguised as a hurricane, and we won’t know what’s left, other than rubble, until after it passes or Musk goes! But for sure it’s a coup for replacing people with machines. It’s that simple.
You better hope it doesn't land in Lake Ontario.
