Trump Campaign Devolves Into a Confederacy of Dunces
The last thing they needed was RFK Jr
Strange just got stranger. I don’t believe RFK Jr really brings a new influx of voters into Trump’s barn, but he does bring in yet another bad personnel decision by Trump. It seriously looks like RFK Jr desperately needs a job that gets him within smelling distance of power, and has been willing to do anything to get there.
Look at what he brings to the table: a brain worm, a dead baby bear, and some rabid anti-vaxxers. And his scintillating personality, which makes JD Vance almost look normal, his strange garbled voice, and his belief in something, though I have no idea what it might be.
This truly rounds out Trump’s cast of characters, including the man himself, Vance, Don Jr, Eric the chief dunce, campaign manager Chris LaCivita, he of Swift Boat fame, and various ‘personalities’ including Tucker Carlson, various wrestlers, and has-been rock stars. Quite the political machine.
The few relatively sane remaining voices in the Republican Party are universal in their alarm at Trump’s inability to control anything he says or does. The man tweeted 55 times during Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech and also talked to Fox News and Newsmax live at the same time.
A little manic, maybe?
Apparently he was so incoherent in his rage and ranting that Fox actually cut him off mid-rant. Fox.
This election has become a pressure cooker now that we’re past the conventions. Right now it is building up steam, but each day everything in it is going to get more and more tightly focused. And something is going to happen that the American people have not seen much of to date.
You’re going to see more and more of Trump in real time and, most important, hear more and more of his actual craziness. The media have given him a pass for years on behavior that would provoke outrage if it was coming from a Democrat, or anyone else for that matter.
The racism, the violent threats, the insults, the actual crimes, and some small things like rape and libel. Yet he has been treated like a serious candidate by mainstream media like the NYTimes and as somehow equal to Biden and now Harris.
That’s not going to fly as this thing heats up. The upcoming debate will be the first real exposure to Trump and, given his behavior during the Harris speech, I cannot imagine him containing himself at all with Kamala Harris only feet away calmly ripping him to shreds in the most public way possible.
It is going to be ugly.
Trump is scheduled to get sentenced for his 34 felony convictions on September 18, only a week after the debate. Despite the pleading of Trump’s army of lawyers, so far the judge has not shown any sign of delaying the sentencing until after the election.
And why should he? There is no legal argument for more delay. And that judge has no love for Donald Trump after repeated insults and veiled threats against the judge and his adult daughter during the trial and after.
Once again Trump’s mouth is betraying him. Now imagine his response to actually being sentenced for crimes committed, only a few weeks before the election. If anything else could push him further over the edge, that might be it.
His manic could turn into outright panic and, again, it will be covered in glaring detail. These are just the obvious things that will increase the pressure. While he is preoccupied with these minor issues, the Harris Campaign will be efficiently both attacking him, and calmly and clearly telling their story about the future.
It’s a good one and it has the added power of making Trump and his Confederacy of Dunces even crazier. Should be quite the spectacle but there is one problem and it’s a big one. We can’t lose this thing because all this combined idiocy would become incredibly dangerous if he wins.
Can you imagine these guys running anything, much less the most powerful nation on the planet? It’s a terrifying thought.

I am hoping that the judge throws him in jail and lets him appeal from there. We all know he only announced his run for president in an attempt to avoid accountability. No self respecting American would offer themselves to the America people as a presidential candidate but Trump has utterly no respect for the American citizenry or America itself. Malignant narcissist that he is, his thinks he can put his thumb up in the air to eclipse the moon and that everyone would believe he did it. He is like a 3 year old. The judge should take into account that Trump is a unique danger to the general public. It is not the Judge's problem or ours that Trump decided to run for president and that the republican party, in their inane stupidity, allowed him to become their candidate. They bring shame on America and its citizens.
